As i mentioned before, characters are poorly developed after the first half. Such a great storyline, had it been executed properly, would have become an outstanding action thriller to watch. The antagonists in the film after the first half looks very dull. The characters after the break in sequence, seems very poorly developed.

The kind of conflict and exposure that is required in the beginning of this story is perfectly put forth.īut then slowly the line starts to fall down and reaches to a neutral point where you have no idea what to thrive for further.

The beginning section of the movie feels very gripping and fast-paced. Basically, if you want some poorly written, poorly acted right-wing propaganda about how social media bad, guns good and leftists being delusional, watch this film.Writer/Director Kyle Rankin starts off with this very intense, hard-hitting sort of situation build up and it’s not like it didn’t work, it definitely did. The acting wasn't very good, most lines and their deliveries were unnatural. This all points to her plot armour as the main character and made the film hard to watch and suspend my disbelief. With her blood loss and the number of activities Zoe did after, eg, running from multiple shooters, running to help people out of the school, etc, she should have tired out and passed out. She put the belt on her gunshot leg wound which would not stop the blood loss, meaning she shouldn't have been able to do most of the things she did in her film. She was shot in the leg but could run immediately after and then moved around at a fast pace continuously throughout the rest of this trainwreck. A 0.8mm thick metal locker is not going to shield someone from multiple gunshots.
Zoe Hull, like most republicans, is a crazy schizophrenic. All the characters were unrealistic and forgettable. It's basically just social media bad with the romanticization of school shootings. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I recommend this movie because of its grit and just being a well-crafted story with well-developed characters. This film is intended for mature audiences who love the art of filmmaking and storytelling. He's balanced, He doesn't go overboard with his villainy. Eli Brown is also perfect as Tristan Voy, the lead villain. She proves she can handle a complex character who's battling external and internal wars. Any filmmaker worth their salt wears their influences on their sleeve.
To those who describe the film as being made by someone who has seen too many movies.
